Oswego
William H. "Beeps" Bellow, 73 of Oswego and Cape Canaveral, Florida passed away Wednesday morning, July 10, 2024 at the Manor at Seneca Hill.
Born in Ewa Plantation Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 22, 1950 he was the son of the late William "Harry" and Dorothy (McCrobie) Bellow. Since his father was serving in the US Coast Guard, Bill's childhood was spent in Hawaii; Sault St. Marie, Michigan; Buffalo, NY; Peanut Island, Florida, along with many stays in Oswego with the McCrobie family.
Bill came to Oswego permanently as a teen and graduated from Oswego High School. He attended Canton ATC, San Diego State and graduated from SUNY Oswego with a Degree in Industrial Arts.
Beeps taught at Oswego High School for 33 years where he taught metal shop, woodworking and technology. He along with Tom Frawley, Dave Cowell, Jan Noyes and Ken Eastwood started the TV production program-WBUC. He loved teaching and was very proud of his students.
Beyond teaching, his passions were woodworking, collecting classic cars, traveling, big dogs and Jimmy Buffett music. In 2017, he and his wife Nancy took the RV across the country to visit many of the National Parks. "Let's go for a ride" was one of Beeps' favorite sayings and they usually "ended up somewhere they had absolutely no business being".
Beeps is survived by his wife of 46 years Nancy (Potter) Bellow, sister-in-law Diana Borman, nieces and nephews, Kate (Borman) and Scott Richardson, Robert and Megan Borman, Adam and Erica Borman and their children; as well as many dear friends.
