William "Bill" F. Henry, 92, of Oswego, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, surrounded by his three sons. To his family, Bill was the richest man they knew—not in money, but in compassion, kindness, and wisdom that touched everyone he met.
Born in Watertown, NY, he served in the U.S. Army as a radar technician, before founding Henry Construction (1963). A master carpenter, he restored homes and buildings across Oswego with vision and skill.
Bill is survived by his sons John (Kathy), Gregg (Sue), and Scott (Susan); grandchildren Megan, Drew (Julie), Tyler, Liam, and Maia; sisters Barbara DeVito and Nancy Lawler; and cherished nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his cat, Stan the Man, and grand-pup Brody. He was predeceased by his wife Helen; parents Minnie and Anselm Henry; brothers Don, Robert, Russ, and Harold; and sisters Helen Allen, Doris Dillenback, Patricia Vander Bogart, and Joan Henry.
A private family remembrance will be held Thursday in accordance with his wishes.
