Rosemarie Ecke, Oswego resident, passed away on May 2, 2021.

She was born in Ossining, NY on April 18, 1935 to John and Katherine (Marino) Simoes.  She lived in Ossining for many years and later raised her own family there.  She moved to Oswego later in her life where she had family and made some wonderful friends.

She is survived by her 4 children Nancy (Kevin) Breen, John (Andrea) Ecke, Vincent (Jennifer Hamilton) Ecke, Annette (Jimmy Araneo) Ecke; her brother Jack (Ann) Simoes; and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves behind a somewhat dysfunctional family that she loved more than anything.  If you knew her, then you knew she had a life-long affair with cake and casinos, but being with her grandchildren gave her the most joy.  While we were so blessed to have her for this many years, we will miss her more than words can express and while our hearts are absolutely broken, she has left us with so many beautiful, fun memories that will fill our hearts for years to come.

Services are private. There are no calling hours.
