Obituary

Robert A Gardner (Bobby G) passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family by his side. He lived a full rich life marked by Military service, music, and his love for his family. He was the richest man they knew—not in money, but in compassion, kindness, and wisdom that touched everyone he met. Bob was part of 3 generations in his family to serve in the US Navy. He was a Vietnam War veteran with multiple tours to Cam Rahn Bay. Upon Honorable Discharge, he began working at Kodak in Rochester NY. As a musician, He played in numerous bands around Oswego County. Most notably, The Mac Brothers. With them, he ventured down to Nashville TN and had a stint opening for Randy Travis. As a truck driver, he put over two million miles on our nation's highways delivering everything from butter to Richard Simmon's famed Nutri grain bars. He retired from the road in 2020 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, corn hole, and bowling with his abundant number of friends and family. He loved Baseball, Football and was a huge Nascar fan!

Bob was born in Fulton, NY, the son of the late Mertin and Vivian Gardner. He was preceded in death by his first wife Suzanne Parker Gardner. He was a lifelong resident of the area except time served in the Military. He is survived by his siblings, Bonnie Bowering (Ron) Fulton NY, Joanne Gardner Oswego NY, Shirley Lamie (Kevin) Fulton NY and his 4 children Lori Neuhauser (Dean) Mesa AZ, Robert Gardner (Michele) Niagara Falls NY, Haylee Powers (Brandon), Scriba NY, Victoria Gardner Oswego NY, his ex-wife Beth Dahl Gardner Scriba NY, and all the Dahl family, and grandchildren Bethany Gardner, Ryne Neuhauser, Allison Schultz, Cameron Gardner, Vanna Henderson, and Shane Powers which he loved so dearly.
