Robert W. Cahill, 77, a resident of County Rt. 4 in Volney, died Sunday evening, at his home.

He was born in Oswego, the son of the late Francis and Jesse (Haynes) Cahill.

He was a graduate of Oswego High School.

He returned to Oswego 7 years ago, after living in Ohio for 30 years.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the custodial department at SUNY-Oswego. He had also worked as a bartender at the Scriba Town Tavern.

He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Brian) Parkhurst of Volney, and Carol (Kevin) Murphy of Oswego; four step-children, Jesse Morrell of Ohio, John (Cindy) Morrell of Florida, Carissa Hardin of Ohio Don Hardin of Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Gardner of Oswego, and Judy O'Reilly of Florida; and several grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Cahill; and a brother, David Cahill.

Service will be private.

There will be no calling hours.
