Richard D.
Kidney
Jul 8, 1943 — Sep 6, 2017
Richard (Dick) Kidney of Fayetteville, NY died at his beloved Pleasant Point camp on the shore of Lake Ontario in New Haven, NY on September 6, 2017.
He was a generous man who loved his family, was devoted to his many friends new and old, eagerly read history, and couldn't wait to start yet another project at the camp. He was fascinated by people and had a knack of getting people to share their stories with him.
In 1986, after 19 years at Carrier Corporation, he started his own finance business, growing and shaping it for the rest of his life.
As Dick requested and in keeping with his style, Roxanne Giglio, his loving and loyal partner of over 30 years, Jody Kidney, his daughter, and Carol Mackintosh, his sister, and their families invite friends and associates to join them in a celebration of Dick's life at Grover's Table, 104 Limestone Plaza, Fayetteville on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 102, Oswego NY, 13126.
In addition to Roxanne, Jody, and Carol, Dick is survived by Jody's husband Kirk Schmidt, Steven Mackintosh, Will Mackintosh (Brian Lam, Hazel Lam-Mackintosh), and Hollis Mackintosh Heid (Christopher Heid, Vaughan Heid). He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer, his parents Jane and Frank Kidney, his sister Anne Westbrook, and his former wife Anne Aloi.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
