Rebecca Jean Master (69) , passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was born in (Cherry
Point, NC), daughter of the late Edward L. Smith, and Mary E. Donahue Smith. Prior to retirement, she
worked at Rudy's for several years. She was an avid reader; she always had a book close by. She enjoyed
attending all her children's and grandchildren's activities. She was a loving wife, mother, and
grandmother.
She is predeceased by her husband, Hercules "Herk" T. Master III, and her brother, Dan Sterphone.
Survived by her sons, Hercules (Michaela Hendzel) T. Master IV of Nashville, TN, Steven L. Master Sr. of
Oswego, and Anthony J. Master of Oswego, brothers, Lloyd (Alice) Smith, sister-in-law, Marie Sterphone,
grandchildren, Steven L. Master Jr., Mason T. Beshures, and Olivia L. Master, as well as several nieces
and nephews.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
