Phyllis L. Johnson, 89 of Oswego passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late William and Julia France Nearbin.

Mrs. Johnson was the widow of the late Charles “Sonny” Johnson who died in 2017.

She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Kay (Bill) Cottom of Oswego, Cory-Jo Johnson of Pensacola, FL, Lori Kuss of Syracuse, three sons, Dennis Johnson of Oswego, Richard Johnson of Syracuse, Dean Drake of Oswego, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews,

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by one son, Robert Johnson, three brothers, William Nearbin, Richard Nearbin, David Nearbin, two sisters, Beverly Graham and Dorothy Sharkey.

There are no services at this time. A Celebration of Life is being planned and will announced.
