Peter W. Mellon, 54, a resident of Martville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, at his home.

Peter was born in Oswego, the son of the late James and Laurietta (Walker) Mellon.

He was an accomplished carpenter and very hard worker. Peter had a heart of gold and was a very prideful man. He enjoyed spending his time by keeping busy with projects around the house and was always helping others.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley K Mellon of Rochester; seven siblings, Loretta (Donny) Falise of Delaware, Juanita Carroll of Oswego,  James Mellon, Jr. of Oswego, Michael (Penny) Mellon Sr. of Fulton, Lucian Mellon of Martville, Rena Mellon of Nevada, and Kathy (Keyvin) Powell of California a sister; two grandchildren, Aiden and Eddy; and many nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his lifelong friend Gregory Handville, and his two sisters, Bernice Mellon and Lucille Mellon.

Services will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
