Mary Helen Virgo, 88 of Oswego passed away Monday evening at the Oneida Health Extended Care Facility.

She was born in Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Ruby Foster Kennington.

Mrs. Virgo was the widow of the late Nicholas Virgo who died in 1994.

She was an avid card and Yahtzee player, enjoyed bingo and loved crafts.

Mrs. Virgo taught bible study and led many people to the Lord.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Ann Carter of Oswego, two sons, Daniel A. (Karen) Virgo of Dunkirk, Michael J Virgo of Oswego, one sister Beverly (Gene) Bennett of Birmingham, Alabama, five grandchildren, Carol Miller, Pat McCarey, Michael P. Virgo, Danielle Virgo, Arianna Virgo, ten great grandchildren, an adopted daughter, Tammy Karl, a close friend Anna Roy and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by one son Ralph Virgo, one grandchild, Nicholas Virgo, one sister Linda A. Wunderland, two brothers, Robert Kennington and Billy Kennington.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 7, 4-7PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 7PM. Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
