Mark W. Cali, 65, of Syracuse passed away unexpectedly at home.

Mark was born in Syracuse, New York and was the son of the late Mark W. and Marie (Larowe) Sweeney, Sr.

Mark grew up in Syracuse and graduated from Cororan High School before joining the Army. He was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and was a proud veteran. After his military service, Mark worked at Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse and was currently enjoying his retirement. Mark was a music aficionado and was known by his friends as the 'walking jukebox'.

Mark is survived by his loving husband Michael A. Cali of Oswego; his step-children Shawn (Rachelle Masters) Cali of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Michael S. (Michele) Cali of Oswego, and Anne Cali (Adam) Perry of Pulaski; his step-grandchildren Brittany (Kai Duncan) Cali, Emily Cali (Sergio) Martins, Rachel Cali, all of Virginia, Kate (Stephanie) Armstrong of Connecticut, Michael Cali, Hannibal Cali, and Aidan Cali of Fulton, Amanda Cali of Colorado, Robert McRae of Oswego, Everett Cali and Nicholas Cali of Wolcott. Mark is also survived by his siblings Michael A. Sweeney of Syracuse and Karen A. Sweeney of Alabama.

As per Mark's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10AM Friday August 1, 2025 at St. Stephens Church, Oswego, NY. Burial will follow in Peck's Cemetery.
