Marjorie J. Fetterly, 86, a resident of Syracuse Avenue in Oswego, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 in Oswego.

Mrs. Fetterly was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Arthur and Zirilda (Bennett) Hamilton. She was a life resident of the area.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the supervisor of the Physical Therapy Department at Loretto Heights Nursing Home in Oswego. She was regarded as an exemplary employee for 40 years.

She was the wife of the late Harold Fetterly, who died in 2018.

She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Fetterly of Syracuse; a son Keith (Kim Leavens) Fetterly of Oswego; two nephews that she shared an especially close bond with, Gordon Parkhurst and Jim Eber; a sister, Velma Wheeler of New Haven, Connecticut; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son Kevin Fetterly; and four siblings, Leo Loper, William Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, and Peachie Parkhurst.

Funeral services will be private.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.
