Lucie W. Shurr, 86, a long-time resident of the town of Oswego, passed away Thursday, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.

Lucie was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. She moved to Oswego in 1957 to be with her husband, the late Michael W. Shurr, and raise their family together. Michael died in 2005.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a nurse's aide with the Oswego Hospital, often working on the geriatric services floor.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene E. Dorn of Oswego, and Kathy L. Shurr of Oswego; a son, Michael J. Shurr of Oswego; a brother, Hector "Hank" Baron of New Hampshire; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Victory, who died in 2020; and a sister, Jean Russell.

Services will be private.
