Lewis "Lew" Erwin passed away peacefully at home in Florida on March 21, 2025. At 99 1/2 years old, he lived a long and wonderfully full life and will be missed by so many.

Born in Williamsport, PA, Lew was a longtime resident of the Oswego community. He succeeded as a valued leader at Papertronics until his early retirement in 1984. He enjoyed golfing (and morning coffee with treasured friends) as a member of the Oswego Country Club. He also sailed competitively as a member of the Fair Haven Yacht Club.

Lew graduated from New York Military Academy and Nichols College. In addition, Lew proudly served our country via the Army Air Corps, trained as a navigator.

Lew is survived by his daughters Gail Erwin (Doug Moore) and Linda Erwin (Doug Russell); his son Andrew Erwin (Paige); two grandsons, Chris Erwin (Michelle) and Corey Erwin (Crystal); and the blessing of five great-grandchildren (Colin, Kayla, Lincoln, Emery and Leilani) to carry forward his legacy.

The light of his life, Lew's beloved dance partner and wife of 74 years, Barbara "Steve" Erwin, predeceased him by three years. Their love was "so good, so good, so good!"

Lew believed in "the power of now." He was kindhearted, quick-witted, and always so generous of spirit.

The family will celebrate the lives of Lew and Steve at a date to be determined, and plan to participate in the "Lew Erwin Memorial Golf Tournament" in September.
