LaRue Mary Ure, 93 of Oswego, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the home of her daughter Susan.

Mrs. Ure was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Robert and Viola Mentro Bivens.

She was a life resident of Oswego County and a graduate of the Oswego High School.

Mrs. Ure owned and operated with her husband the Ure Grocery Store for many years in Oswego.

LaRue was a Communicant of Christ The Good Shepherd Church at St. Paul's.

She is survived by three daughters Diane (John) Neider of N. Syracuse, Karen (Thomas Marino)Pasiak of Oswego, Susan (Paul) Hough of Fulton, one son Thomas (Kim)Ure of Seneca Falls, nine grandchildren, Christina, Kristen, Trisha, Gregory, Derek, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Kimberly and Sydney, seven great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law Beth Bivens Thurston, numerous nieces and nephews and a very dear friend Frederick (Carol) Borden.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Keith Ure, a grandson, Daniel Germain, five brothers, Louis Bivens, Francis Bivens, Floyd Bivens, LaVerne Bivens and Ronald Bivens.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 4-6PM followed by a service at 6PM. Private burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
