Joseph (Joe) Charles McCarthy, 66, recently of Soulsbyville, CA died November 4, 2023 following several years of declining health.

Born January 26, 1957, in Oswego, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Dalia) McCarthy. After attending local schools he followed his dreams to California, living most of his life in the San Francisco Bay area. He attended college there, honing his artistic skills while working at various sales jobs in Silicon Valley. His quick wit, contagious smile, compassion and devotion to family and friends are what people will remember most about him.

Joe leaves behind the light of his life, beloved daughter Jamie; brothers George (Rhonda) of FL, Christopher of CA, Patrick (Gail) of CT, and sister Eva (Rob) Corradino of Oswego, many nieces and nephews, as well as Jamie's mother Penny Pillman and her daughter Shelby Botula of CA, and former wife Rosalia Kozel and her daughters of Oswego.

A celebration of life will be held in CA in the future. For those wishing to do so, the family suggests contributions in Joe's memory be made at the Human Concerns Center, 85 E 4th St, Oswego, NY 13126, or a charity of your choice.
