Janice E. Deacons (née Atkinson), 65, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Syracuse, Janice was the daughter of the late David Charles Atkinson and Marie Atkinson (née Petrowski). She was the beloved wife of Clarence J. Deacons.

Professionally, Janice had diverse roles over her career, including as a driver with A&E Transport, an assembler of switches at Marquardt in Cazenovia, and as a cook at a local restaurant in Fulton.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence; three daughters, Christa Lewis (née Deveau) of New Jersey, Danielle Pfrang (née Deveau) of Granby, and Elizabeth Deveau of North Carolina; two sons, David Deveau of Scriba and Tabor Deacons of Fulton; her brother, David C. Atkinson, II of Ocala, Florida; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Daniel E. Atkinson.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date, with details to be announced.
