Iris R. Howell passed away on January 1, 2026. Iris was born at home in Fair Haven NY on March 28, 1935. She is survived by her niece Terri Howell DiGregorio (Henry Snyder), nephew Robert W. Howell (Faith) and niece Karen Howell Cobb. She is also survived by 5 great nieces and 1 nephew. Iris is predeceased by her son Scott Eckenrode, her brother Robert D. Howell, her father Robert K. Howell and her mother Lillian MacArthur.

Iris was a veteran of the US Navy. During her term in the Navy, she was chosen to model various new uniforms for the magazine NAVY The Magazine of Sea Power. She spent most of her adult life in Virginia Beach VA and moved back to her hometown of Fair Haven in her later years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
