Geraldine S. Jones of Oswego died Sunday evening on the eve of her 92nd birthday.

She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Mullen Scanlon.

Mrs. Jones was the widow of the late Norris Jones.

She was a graduate of SUNY Oswego and had been employed as a teacher in the Oswego School District.

She was a Communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Gerry was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association and an avid Bridge player. She was a former member of The Oswego Country Club. She enjoyed fishing, boating and cross country skiing.  She and Norrie spent many enjoyable years at their cottage in Sackets Harbor.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas A. (Diane) Jones and Patrick J. (Patricia)Jones, both of Oswego, one sister Patricia (William) O'Toole of Liverpool, five grandchildren, Scott (Hilary) Jones, Matthew Jones, Daniel (Nicole) Jones, Christopher (Lola) Jones, and Katie (Jason Mansfield) Jones,  Three Great grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Dax Jones and Raine Jones.

She was predeceased by four sisters Eleanor Notarpole, Martha Devine, Betty Scanlon and Margaret Kuno.

Funeral services will be Friday 11:30AM in St. Mary's Church.

Burial in Rural Cemetery.
