Genevieve “Genny” Roarick, 99, died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, following a brief illness.

Genny was born on January 25, 1927, in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Samuel and Marguerite Passero. A member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Oswego, she looked forward to Sunday services and cherished time with the congregation. Wherever she lived, she volunteered and held leadership positions in local VFW and American Legion posts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her 12 siblings; her son, Gary Roarick; and her son and daughter-in-law, George and Lona Roarick.

She is survived by her daughter, Genevra (Robert) Thomas; her Ohio granddaughter, Kelly (Jason) Ballard, and great-granddaughter, Kora Ballard; and her New York grandchildren, Kateland and Michael, and their families. Nieces and Nephews.

As a member of the Oswego community, she grew to love the town and its people, forming many cherished friendships.

A Celebration of Life will take place 11AM Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, 154 City Line Road in Oswego.
