Earl W. Calkins, 75 of Parish, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.

He was born in Syracuse and was the son of the late Stanley and Almida Cailkins.

Mr. Calkins had been employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator.

His wife Deborah Calkins died in 2006.

He is survived by his common law wife, Kimberly Jean Darling of Parish, Anette Baker of North Carolina, two sons Earl Calkins, Jr. of Florida, Rodney Calkins of Baldwinsville, three brothers, Stanley Calkins of North Carolina, David Calkins of Baldwinsville, Lloyd Calkins of Florida, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers Edward Calkins, Robert Calkins and Kenneth Calkins

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in the Town of Oswego.

Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
