Donald R. Rourke, 85 of Oswego died Sunday morning at St. Luke Health Services, Inc.

He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Cummings Rourke.

Mr. Rourke was the husband of the late Dorothy Dumas Rourke who passed away in 2004.

Prior to his retirement he was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the City of Oswego Department of Public Works.

He is survived by two daughters, Debi (Mark) Morgan of Oswego, Kathy Stancampiano of Scriba, two sons Jim Rourke of Oswego, Donald Rourke Jr. of Michigan, one brother Kevin Rourke of Liverpool, four stepchildren Richard Ladd, Jr., Darlene (Kent) Shreve, Diana (Keith) Laris, Colleen (Kent) Ward, 22 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Patricia Stevenson, Mary Jean Lindsley, Cynthia Endres, grandson Nicholas Rourke, sister in-law Susan Rourke, two stepchildren Daniel Ladd and Donna Manford.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church at 10AM on Thursday February, 20. There are no calling hours.

Spring burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of B Wing at St. Luke's for the exceptional care that they provided during Donald's stay.
