David H. McAnn, Sr. 81 of Oswego passed away peacefully Tuesday morning in the Oswego Hospital.

Dave is survived by his wife Johann Hunt McAnn of Oswego, daughter, Danielle Wilson of Virginia, son David H. McAnn, Jr., of Rochester, sisters, Janice Montague of Arizona, Patricia Misgalla of Rochester, stepsons, Walter Smith, of Oswego, Thomas Smith of Oswego, Rodney Smith of Rochester and Daniel Smith of N. Carolina. Dave was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and extended family members.

Mr. McAnn was born in Rochester and was the son of the late Harold and Marie Stopani McAnn.

Mr. McAnn served honorably in the US Navy from 1957 until he was discharged in 1977 with the rank of Senior Chief. After his military service, Dave was employed for many years with the Sunny Vending Co. During his retirement "PaPa Dave" volunteered for his church and as crossing guard for the local children.

Graveside services will be held 11:00AM Saturday October 29, in Peck Cemetery, Scriba, NY.

There are no calling hours.
