Cecile E. Scheinert, 79 of Oswego passed away Sunday at the Oswego Hospital.

She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Nichols Brady.

Mrs. Scheinert was the widow of William J. Scheinert who died May 12, 1997.

She had been employed for many years with Auxiliary Services at Oswego State University until her retirement in 2007.

Mrs. Scheinert was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

She is survived by two sons William C. (Pauline) Scheinert of Oswego, Joseph E. (Kathleen) Scheinert of Georgia, one sister Doris M. Turner of Oswego County, six grandchildren, Billy C. Scheinert, Samantha M. Scheinert, Rebecca L. Scheinert, Michael S. Scheinert, Christopher J. Scheinert, Marissa L. Hardy and one great grandchild, Ava E. Hardy.

Mrs. Scheinert was predeceased by one brother Edward John Brady.

Funeral services will be 8:30AM Friday from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 9:00AM in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-7PM at the funeral home.
