Obituary

Annlyn (Harrold) Warner, 80, a resident of Springside at Seneca Hill, passed away Wednesday, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

She was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late R. Edward and Rita (Bonner) Harrold

Annylyn's academic career began at St. Mary's school in Oswego, where in kindergarten, she was selected to lead the May Crowning.  She graduated from Oswego High School in 1954 and continued her education at Oswego State Teachers College where she earned a Bachelor's degree in elementary education.  Her early teaching career began in the Rochester and Syracuse areas.  After her return to Oswego, she pursued her master's degree in remedial reading and upon completion accepted a position at Fitzhugh Park Elementary, where she taught reading for the remainder of her career.

Annlyn was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Church where she was active as a Eucharistic minister, RCIA sponsor, and volunteered in many facets of church events and activities.  Her faith was unwavering and was evidenced in her devotion to prayer groups, bible study, and daily praying of the rosary.

Annlyn's continual involvement in organizations such as The Encouragers Group, The Retired Teachers Association, YMCA classes, and a multitude of book clubs demonstrated her constant energy and enthusiasm for life.

Annlyn loved spending time with her family, both immediate and extended.  She was a devoted grandmother who relished in spending time with each of her grandchildren - sharing with them her love, patience, and kindness.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Warner of Oswego; three children, Ellen Lafond of Oswego, Douglas Warner of Oswego, and Heather (Charlie) Morgan of Rochester; four siblings, Robert (Kim) Harrold of Minetto, John Harrold of Liverpool, Constance Ross of Oswego, and Christopher (Mary) Harrold of Troy; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Alex and Sam Lafond, Nika Waterbury, Grace and Jack Morgan, and Rhys Warner; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jane Tesoriero.
