Alice Simon, 97, a former resident of Mexico, NY, passed away Sunday, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.

Alice was born in Rome, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Senyak) Simon.

She was the wife of the late Clifford Gingerich, who died in 2002. She and her husband enjoyed snowmobiling, as well as boating during their winters in Florida.

She loved fishing, travelling, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse. She worked in many different places, including the Oswego Hospital, and Spencer's Home in Scriba.

She is survived by a sister, Olga Woodhouse of Rome; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services are private.
