Oswego - Raymond K. Foster, 71, passed away April 16, 2012, at the Oswego Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Henry Foster, and Agnes Pearl (Leonard) Torbitt. Raymond retired from the Oswego Fire Department. He was formerly employed as the Meat Manager at the P&C in Pulaski; and as a Meat Cutter at Paul’s Big M. He was inducted into the Oswego Softball Hall of Fame, and was a fan of the New York Yankees. Raymond served in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna (Muroski) Foster; three children, Debora (Robert) Hilton, Pamela (Michael) Kranz, and Michael (Maggie) Beckwith; three brothers, Hugh (Linda) Foster, Phil (Betsy) Foster, and David Foster; a step-sister, Donna (Alan) Hubbard; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Timothy Hilton; Joshua, Tyler, and Bradley Kranz; and Michael Jr. and Allison Beckwith; and one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Hilton. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Henry Foster; and a grandson, Robby Hilton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Thursday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Church of the Resurrection, 120 West 5th Street, Oswego, NY 13126; or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
