Tracy A. Stepien, 49 and a resident of the Town of Oswego passed away Wednesday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital after becoming ill at her home.
She was born in Syracuse and was the daughter of the late Gaynord Chapman and the late Carol Jaquin Chapman Van Splunder.
Mrs. Stepien had been employed as an Accounts Clerk at Oswego State University.
She is survived by her loving husband J. Robert Stepien of Oswego Town, two sons Johnathan Goodison of Providence, RI, Jason Goodison of Albany, two brothers Tim Chapman of Florida, William (Stephanie) Van Splunder, Jr. of Arizona, three sisters Kim (Steve) LaBarre of Liverpool, Lauri Hiner of Florida, Lynn Perez of Florida, one stepson Shane (Christy) Stepien of Oswego, one stepdaughter Shelby Stepien of Oswego, her stepfather William Van Splunder of Buffalo, four grandchildren Spencer, Addison, Jameson and Connor Stepien, one aunt Diane (Dennis) Galbraith of Liverpool, several nieces and nephews, and her canine companions Hunter and Bella.
She enjoyed her summer cottage in Fair Haven, her family, and especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
