Oswego – Mary A. Maniccia, 84, a former resident of 192 Munn Street in Oswego, passed away Friday, at St. Luke Health Services.
Mrs. Maniccia was born in Baldwinsville, NY, the daughter of the late Bernard and Irene (Fasholz) Costello. She had lived in Oswego for many years.
She was the wife of the late Leo P. Maniccia, who died in 1997.
She was a graduate of Arizona State University, and of the Crouse-Irving Hospital School of Nursing.
Prior to her retirement in 1984, she was employed as a nurse with the Oswego City School District.
Mrs. Maniccia was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association, and the Arizona State University Alumni Association.
She was a former communicant of St. John’s Church in Oswego.
She is survived by a daughter, Luann Pamatian of Orcas Island, WA; four sons, Leo (Teresa) Maniccia of Augusta, GA, James (Suzanne) Maniccia of Oswego, David (Lenarda) Maniccia of Oswego, and Peter Maniccia of Seattle, WA; a brother John (Alice) Costello of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am Tuesday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00pm Monday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
