Margaret “Peg” Tynan, 85 and a resident of Shady Lane in the Town of Scriba passed away Friday morning in the Oswego Hospital. She was born in Rochester and was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith Grant Tynan. Miss Tynan had been employed for 50 years as the manager of Hamilton Homes in Oswego. She was a communicant and active member of St. Joseph’s Church and an avid Syracuse University Basketball and Yankee fan. Miss Tynan was educated in Red Creek schools and was a graduate of Rochester Business Institute. She is survived by one daughter Sandra (Billy) Haynes of Oswego, two brothers John Tynan and Harry Tynan both of Oswego, one sister Carol Carroll of Rochester, one granddaughter Angela Colasurdo of Chandler, Arizona, two great grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Rachel Geiogamah and Isabella Herrera both of Chandler, AZ, and her best friend Ann Carney of Oswego. She was predeceased by two sisters Gertrude Tynan, Ethelyn Tynan, four brothers Lester Tynan, Patrick Tynan, Thomas Tynan and Roger Tynan. Funeral services will be Wed. 10:30AM from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8PM at the funeral Home.
