Town of Oswego – George R. DeSacia, 76, a resident of Sabin Road in the Town of Oswego, passed away Wednesday morning, at his home. Mr. DeSacia was born in Oswego. He was the son of the late Herbert and Violet (Aldrich) DeSacia, and the step-son of the late Joseph Denny. He was a life resident of the area. He was a veteran of the US Army. Prior to his retirement, Mr. DeSacia was employed as a maintenance supervisor with the Nestlé’s Corp. in Fulton. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans; New York Chapter #30. He is survived by his wife, Janet (McCann) DeSacia of Oswego; a son, Timothy (Julie) DeSacia of Oswego; a sister, Mary Ferris of Snohomish, Washington; a brother, John Denny of Oswego; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Zachariah, and Nicholaus DeSacia; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Edith Freeden, and Hazel Gilbert. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00pm Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
