Oswego – Harry A. Stubba, 90 passed away Thursday, September 23, at the Oswego Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born in Chicago, the son of Harry and Katherine Koehler Stubba, in 1920. Two years later, the family moved to Oswego. He attended Oswego schools, and graduated in 1939. On December 8, 1941, the day after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Harry served for 6 years, at the rank of Captain, and flew most models of the American air fleet. Following his discharge from the Air Corps, he worked for 30 years at Eagle Beverage in Oswego, retiring in 1987. Harry and his beloved wife Carmella Terminella were married on September 26, 1959, and raised three children, a son and two daughters. An avid sportsman, Harry especially enjoyed baseball and bowling. He was also very proud of his 1931 Model A Ford. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Carm; children Frank (Stacey) Stubba of Miller Place, NY, Carol (Doug) Waterbury, and Katherine (Darryl Boscoe) Stubba of Oswego. He was the beloved Papa of eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Isabella, and William Waterbury, and Nicholas Stubba, all of Oswego; Christopher, Victoria, and Caden Stubba of Miller Place, NY; a brother, Rev. William (Eleanor) Stubba of Eatonton, GA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Pearl, who died in 1918 as an infant. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Saturday, September 25, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
