Doris E. Day, 82 and a resident of 61 Lakeshore Rd. in the Town of Oswego died Sunday afternoon at her home.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Fred and Clarissa Sanford Mitchelson. Mrs. Day was the widow of Russell E. Day who died September 8, 2003.
Mrs. Day had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper with Agway in Oswego.
She was member of the Oswego Center Methodist Church and a long time Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Day is survived by two sons, David (Jane) Day of Red Creek, Gary (Connie) Day of Mexico, two grandchildren Shannon LaClair and Jeff Day, one great grandchild David LaClair, four step grandchildren Richard Munski, Jason Munski, Jacquie Taylor, Shane Rhinehart, one step great grandchild Jason Munski, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son Ricky Day, one sister Theda Mitchelson, two brothers Earl Mitchelson and Harold Mitchelson, one half brother Kenneth Mitchelson and a half sister Ruth Pavka.
Friends and family are invited to attend graveside committal services Thursday 11:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery and a reception will follow immediately at Oswego Center Methodist Church. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Oswego Center Methodist Church c/o Peggy Mitchelson, 879 County Route 25 Oswego, NY 13126. Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home Inc.
