Helen Teifke Lagoe, 92, passed away on August 31 at St. Luke Health Center in Oswego, after an extended illness. She was born in Oswego, January 19, 1917. Mrs. Lagoe was employed at Fitzgibbons Boiler Company and Lagoe Oswego Corporation. She was involved in many sports and activities including tennis, golf, and bowling for most of her life. Her husband, John J. Lagoe died in 1978. Surviving are her companion, Robert Ferguson, and her caregiver Brenda Harrington, both of Oswego. Also surviving are two sons, David (Mary Jo) of Heathrow, Florida and Ronald of Camillus; four grandchildren, Carolyn, Francis, Michael, and Victoria; one sister Betty Jane Hennessy of North Syracuse, her niece Sue Gosselin of Oswego, as well as several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Oswego at 10:00am Saturday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00pm Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
