Vincent L. Lavere, 91 and a resident of 145 East Eighth St. in Oswego died Friday evening at Seneca Hill Manor. He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Louis L. and Mary MacPhee Lavere.
Mr. Lavere had been employed for his entire professional career at the Palladium Times and was a typesetter when he retired.
He was a life resident of Oswego and a graduate of St. Paul’s Academy and the Oswego high School. He had served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. and was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.
Mr. Lavere is survived by one sister Geneva L. Kempston of Fulton, one sister in-law Patricia Lavere of Niagara Falls, NY, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lavere was predeceased by two brothers Rev. Phillip Lavere, OFM formerly of Boston and Walter Lavere, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, and his brother in-law Robert Kempston formerly of Fulton and two nephews.
Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
