Oswego – James E. Waterman, 76, a resident of Route 104 in the Town of Scriba, and a former resident of Schenectady, died Saturday, at the Oswego Hospital. Mr. Waterman was born in Oneonta, NY, the son of the late Perry and Edith (Scull) Waterman. He had resided in Oswego for the past 6 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a plumber and pipefitter with Local #105 in Schenectady. He worked on many construction projects, including the Oswego nuclear plants. Mr. Waterman was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a longstanding member and Pilgrim of the Schenectady Moose Lodge #251. He is survived by a son, Eric (Joanie) Waterman of Oswego; a sister, Trudy Roberts; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Eric Jr., Emily, and Abigail. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Jacobs) Waterman, and a daughter, Bonnie Waterman. Services will be private. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Schenectady. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home in Oswego.
