Oswego – Georgietta M. Gorman, 77, passed away Tuesday, at St. Luke Health Services.
Mrs. Gorman was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie (Shortsleeve) Dawson. She was a life resident.
She was the wife of the late Forbie Gorman Sr., who died in 1999.
Mrs. Gorman was a homemaker, and she loved country music.
She is survived by 7 daughters, Ruth (Gary) Castano of Fulton, Brenda (Joseph) Neacosia of Oswego, Linda (Vic) Pappa of Bridgeport, Cindy (Lynn) Smith of Oswego, Crystal Van Horn of Oswego, Valerie (Michael) Hager of Oswego, and Wendy Heffernan of Manlius; 4 sons, Joseph (Carole) Van Horn of Oswego, Larry (Barbara) Van Horn of Oswego, Zeanus (Kim) Van Horn of Oswego, and William Jeffrey (Karen) Van Horn of Fulton; 2 sisters, Myrtle Perrone and Joann White, both of Oswego; 34 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Hager, and 7 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00pm Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
