Oswego – Gertrude L. Washburn, 98, a resident of the Town of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, at Loretto Heights Nursing Home in Oswego.
Mrs. Washburn was born in Susquehanna, PA, the daughter of the late Ernest Alfred Gibson and Linda Ann (O’Dell) Gibson. She lived in Walton, NY for most of her life.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Petersen, and by her second husband, Alvie Washburn, who died in 1977.
She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Rhodes of New Windsor, NY; a grandson, John Heffner of New Haven; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Friday, April 3rd, in Wallkill Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
