Joseph W. Bockheim, 39, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2009. He was a member of St. Theresa of the Little Flower Church, a talented artist, musician, and enjoyed poetry. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping, and member of several environmental groups, as well as a supporter of St. Joseph’s and Lakota Indian Foundations. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Cheryle (Russell) Bockheim, his paternal Grandparents, Donald and Elizabeth Bockheim, and maternal Grandmother, Patricia Russell, Great Aunts and Uncles Joyce (Maruczak) and Wayne Gleason of Oswego, Barbara (Bockheim) Galvin of Syracuse, and Robert and Barbara Dillmann of California. Joseph is survived by several aunts and uncles: Denise (Russell) and Richard Wallace, Wayne Kuzawski of Florida, Kim McLaughlin, Dennis and Melanie Russell, Donna (Kuzawski) and Dan Murrell, James McLaughlin of Rome, Colleen (McLaughlin) and Donald Woodruff, Nancy (Bockheim) and Roger Taylor of Michigan, Donald and Terry Bockheim of Syracuse, as well as numerous cousins. Calling hours are 5-7 pm Wednesday at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego, with Mass at St. Mary’s Church (Oswego) at 11:00 am Thursday. In lieu of flowers, Mass and sympathy cards appreciated. |
