Oswego – Agnes J. Hannah, 103, a long-time resident of Oswego, passed away Wednesday, at the Elderwood Health Center in Liverpool.
Mrs. Hannah was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late William and Emma (Shepard) Mercier. She lived in Oswego until moving to Liverpool a few years ago.
She was the wife of the late Clarence Hannah, who died in 1976.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the staff at SUNY-Oswego. She had also worked at Ange’s Gift Shop, and the Long’s Candy Works in Oswego.
Mrs. Hannah was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, and a member of the church Rosary Society.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Mary (Dominic) Crisafulli of Liverpool, Margaret (Joseph) Shambo of Carthage, Nancy (Kevin) Duggan of Cumberland, RI, and Sally (Joseph) DeGilio of Daytona Beach, FL; a brother William (Margaret) Mercier of Oswego; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Betty Macombi and Carol Cutro; a son, Edward Hannah.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Saturday, in St. Peter’s Church.
Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held from 11:00am until noon on Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Peter’s Church, or to the American Cancer Society.
