|Raymond F Bailey, 96 born, November 27, 1912 passed away November 30 2008 at Loretto Heights Nursing Home when he went to join his beloved wife Elizabeth who also passed away November 23 2008 at Loretto Heights.
Born in Oswego, Mr. Bailey owned his own rubbish removal and trucking business. He retired at the age of 75 and sold his company to what is now know as Butler Rubbish Removal. He and his wife also for over 30 years enjoyed servicing Oswego with the homemade wreaths they made for local stores, community members and churches. He was a member of the Salvation Army for over 70 years. He and his wife Elizabeth would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Dec. 23, 2008.
Ray was the Son of the late William and Mary (Beebe) Bailey. He is survived by a son Marvin (Irene) Bailey of Oswego, Predeceased by sons Raymond Jr, Edward and Eugene Bailey and a daughter Sharon.
He is survived by his sisters Mrs. Gladys Vanhorn, Mrs. Helen Lehman both of Oswego, Mrs. Hazel (Maurice) Dopp of Georgia, brothers Clarence Bailey and Herbert Bailey of Chicago. He was predeceased by his sisters Mrs. Edna Burza, Mrs. Esther Rice and Edith McQuaid and brothers Frank Bailey and William Bailey.
He is also survived by 18 grandhchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and several Nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Wednesday from 3-6PM at the Salvation Army Citadel with funeral services to follow at 6:00PM Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery. |
