William I. Brown, 62 and resident of 129 West Bridge St. died Tuesday morning at his home. He was born in Oswego son of the late Joseph and Marjorie Foley Brown. Mr. Brown was employed for 34 years at Birdseye Foods in Fulton. He retired in July of 2005. Mr. Brown loved eagles. He enjoyed being a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Church bingo and enjoyed flirting with all the girls.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Kathy (Brubaker) Brown, 2 daughters Melissa McRae of Oswego and Jeanette Shatrau of Volney, 3 sons Jay Brown of Fulton, William Brown, Jr. of Virginia, Jason Brown of Oswego, 5 sisters Nellie Mae Nichols of Oswego, Mary Jean Thomas of Phelps, Jackie Alton of Oswego, Eleanor Perry of Tenn., Margie Brown Syracuse, 3 brothers Donald Brown of Syracuse, David Brown and Paul Brown both of Oswego, 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Joseph Brown, Jr., Fredrick Brown, 4 sisters Annalee Torres, Mazie Sanchez, Anita Moreno and Carol Brown.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 8:30AM from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral home and at 9:00AM in St. Joseph’s Church. Calling hours Friday 4-7PM at the funeral home 112 East Second St.
